Osimhen to Arsenal? Transfer guru confirms Gunners' ambitious plans ahead of summer window
Published: January 09, 2025
Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has emerged as a transfer target for Premier League giants Arsenal ahead of the summer window, according to Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio.
Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, has been in sensational form this season, scoring 13 goals and providing five assists in 16 matches across all competitions.
His impressive performances have sparked widespread speculation about his future, with several top European clubs reportedly interested in his signature.
Arsenal, in need of a prolific striker due to the inconsistent goal-scoring form of Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz, have now set their sights on the Nigerian forward.
Di Marzio confirmed Arsenal's interest while speaking to Betting Expert, revealing that Osimhen is one of the top targets for the north London club alongside Alexander Isak and Dusan Vlahovic.
"Arsenal will try to get Isak or Osimhen in the summer. Osimhen will come back to Napoli, but he has an exit clause of €75 million. So, I think Osimhen is an option for the Premier League clubs in the summer," Di Marzio stated.
"Vlahovic is an option and a target as well for Arsenal. They like him, and I think they will try to make a deal in the summer. So he is also on the list."
Osimhen has reportedly been a long-time admirer of the Premier League since his childhood in Nigeria.
A potential move to Arsenal could fulfill his dream of playing in England’s top flight.
The Gunners are expected to face stiff competition for the striker, whose performances continue to attract interest from Europe’s elite clubs like PSG and Chelsea.
