Aston Villa monitoring the situation of Super Eagles forward Chukwueze
Published: February 17, 2025
Premier League club Aston Villa are reportedly monitoring the situation of Samuel Chukwueze ahead of the summer transfer window.
Chukwueze has found it difficult to make an impact since joining AC Milan from Villarreal in the summer of 2023.
Before his move, the Nigerian international had a standout season with the Yellow Submarine, which earned him a transfer to the Rossoneri.
However, the winger has failed to replicate that form in Italy, managing just seven goals and four assists in 59 appearances across all competitions.
His underwhelming performances have fueled speculation about his future, with reports linking him to a potential reunion with Unai Emery at Aston Villa, as well as interest from Fulham during the winter window.
Despite multiple suitors, Chukwueze remained at San Siro beyond the January transfer window but has yet to prove himself under AC Milan’s new manager, Sérgio Conceição.
Looking ahead to the summer, MilanLive.it has reported that Aston Villa are considering a move for the Nigerian international, with Unai Emery keen on bringing him to the Premier League.
The English club are open to signing Chukwueze on a permanent deal but also exploring the possibility of a loan move with an option or obligation to buy.
For Chukwueze, a potential move to Villa Park could be a crucial opportunity to revive his career and regain his best form under a manager who knows how to utilize his talents effectively.
