'I hear Man Utd, Arsenal are interested' - Expert urges Galatasaray to act fast in race for Osimhen
Published: March 12, 2025
Respected Turkish football pundit Şansal Buyuka has suggested that Galatasaray should shift their focus towards signing Victor Osimhen on a permanent deal.
The Nigeria national teamer has made a splash since his arrival at the Istanbul giants on loan from Napoli last September, registering 28 goal involvements in 29 outings across all competitions.
Speaking on the Sports Digitale YouTube channel, Buyuka acknowledged that both Manchester United and Arsenal are interested in the 2023 African Footballer of the Year.
However, he believes that if Galatasaray can afford the Napoli-owned center forward, they should abandon other transfer plans and prioritize Osimhen.
"I hear that Manchester United and Arsenal are interested in Osimhen," Buyuka was quoted as saying by habersarikirmizi.com.
"If I were Galatasaray, if they can keep him, which they may do, I would give up on the transfer and spend all my energy on Osimhen."
"The guy is making the opponents miserable," Buyuka said, emphasizing the Nigerian forward’s ability to dominate defenders.
Osimhen has been a standout performer in the Turkish Super Lig with his speed, physicality, and goal-scoring prowess attracting top European clubs.
Galatasaray may not have the financial muscle of England's top clubs, but Buyuka's statement underlines Osimhen’s ability to elevate any team.
His next destination, whether in the Premier League or elsewhere, is sure to dominate transfer discussions in the coming months.
Osimhen has been named in the latest Nigeria squad ahead of two crucial World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe this month.
