'Strong rivals' - Galatasaray insider claims PSG, Arsenal, Man Utd are battling to sign Osimhen
Published: March 15, 2025
Galatasaray insider Kağan Dursun has revealed that Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal, and Manchester United are in the race to sign Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, as reported by habersarikirmizi, Dursun claimed that Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek has already held discussions with Osimhen regarding a potential permanent transfer.
“President Dursun Özbek meets with Victor Osimhen and says, 'Don't think about the money part of the deal. Just tell us 'Yes' and we will get your transfer fee.' Osimhen says that he is completely focused on the championship, wants time to think, and states that he will make his decision in April. Dursun Özbek says, 'Let's get Osimhen to sign before he gets on the plane and before his contract with us ends," Dursun stated.
The Galatasaray insider also acknowledged that the Turkish champions face stiff competition from European giants in their pursuit of the Super Eagles star.
"Galatasaray has such strong rivals that we will see if they can make a decision in April," he said.
"PSG is the club that wants the most. The reason for this is Luis Campos. He is currently the sporting director at PSG. Campos went to watch Osimhen at the U17 World Cup in Chile in 2015. Nigeria won and Osimhen became the top scorer with 10 goals. Campos wanted him because he watched him live but it was not possible. However, he bought Osimhen when he was at Lille. Campos loves Osimhen very much."
Dursun also revealed that Manchester United had already made an offer during the winter transfer window, which Osimhen turned down, while Arsenal remains in the mix.
"Manchester United made an offer during the mid-season break, Osimhen rejected it. Arsenal is also on the table. This transfer is not easy," he added.
Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray last summer, has been in sensational form, scoring 28 goals in 29 matches across all competitions.
His performances have not only attracted attention from top European clubs but have also earned him a place in Nigeria’s squad for their upcoming FIFA 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
