Published: May 09, 2025
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that teenage Nigerian forward Kayode Peterkin has committed his future to League One club Charlton Athletic by agreeing to a new deal ahead of the 2025-2026 season.
Peterkin has already signed the new contract and will be part of the Addicks' new intake of academy scholars for the 2025–2026 season.
The promising attacker's new contract with Charlton Athletic will keep him at the club until the end of the 2026-2027 season.
All players in their U17 year are required to start next season on a scholarship agreement, before they are permitted to sign a first professional football contract on or after their 17th birthday.
Peterkin will be permanently promoted to Charlton's U18s for the 2025–2026 season and will be eligible to play in the Professional Development League, FA Youth Cup, and Professional Development League Cup.
He also qualifies to be registered in Charlton's English Football League squad as a scholar.
Kayode Peterkin made his competitive debut for Charlton U18s while still a schoolboy and found the net in a 3-2 loss to Stevenage in an Professional Development League Cup fixture back in October.
Nigeria internationals Ademola Lookman and Semi Ajayi, ex-Flying Eagles star Danny Uchechi, onetime Nigeria Football Federation target Jordon Ibe are products of the Charlton academy.
