Watford, Middlesbrough, QPR, Millwall mulling move for Super Eagles latest debutant
Published: June 07, 2025
Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report with certainty that four EFL Championship clubs are weighing up a summer move for FC Krasnodar forward Olakunle Olusegun.
Olusegun became the Super Eagles' latest debutant under manager Eric Chelle during the friendly against Russia in Moscow, where he came off the bench to replace Christantus Uche with just under 15 minutes remaining.
The dynamic winger was a threat during the friendly against Russia, and came close to scoring a game-winning goal in the closing stages.
Watford, Middlesbrough, Queens Park Rangers and Millwall have all opened preliminary discussions with Olusegun’s camp regarding a potential transfer.
While contact has been made, talks remain in the early stages and are not yet advanced.
Olusegun first came to prominence during the WAFU Zone B qualifiers for the 2019 Africa U17 Cup of Nations, finishing as the tournament's top scorer with four goals and marking himself out as a star of the future.
He was a key member of the Golden Eaglets squads that featured at both the 2019 U17 Afcon and the Fifa U17 World Cup.
Olusegun had stints with FDC Vista Gelendzhik, Fremad Amager and Botev Plovdiv before securing a move to reigning Russian champions FC Krasnodar in 2021.
