According to the Polish edition of Goal.com, Polish Ekstraklasa outfit Pogoń Szczecin are in advanced talks to sign FC Copenhagen forward Paul Mukairu.
Mukairu has been declared surplus to requirements ahead of the forthcoming season, and did not report for the start of pre-season preparations at FC Copenhagen last week.
Mukairu enjoyed a breakout season on loan at Turkish side Boluspor, recording an impressive 21 goal involvements (7 goals and 14 assists) in 34 appearances in the TFF First League last term.
The standout moment of Mukairu's season came on the final day when he directly participated in four goals during Boluspor's emphatic 7-0 victory over Adanaspor.
A product of FC Hearts Academy, the 25-year-old has played for clubs in Turkey, Belgium, England and Denmark.
He also featured in the Champions League against Manchester City and Sevilla, and had loan stints at Anderlecht and Reading.
Known for his pace and versatility, Mukairu can operate on both wings and as a central striker.
Before choosing Pogoń Szczecin, Mukairu attracted interest from clubs in Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Israel.
He had an offer from Hapoel Tel Aviv but Israel's recent conflict with Iran could have influenced the player's decision to reject the deal.
Mukairu, who joined Copenhagen from Antalyaspor in 2022, has a contract with the Danish Superliga champions until December 2025.
