Bayer Leverkusen make transfer decision on Super Eagles striker Boniface ahead of next season

German Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen have made a transfer decision on Victor Boniface ahead of the 2025-2026 campaign.

Sky Sport Germany transfer guru Florian Plettenberg is reporting that Leverkusen's new boss Erik ten Hag has included Victor Boniface in his plans and would like to keep him at the club.

The only way he does not continue at Leverkusen is if there is an irresistible offer for him.

He was strongly linked with a move to Al-Nassr earlier in January, which failed to materialize.

Bayer Leverkusen have already lost manager Xabi Alonso to Real Madrid, crucial players like Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong to Liverpool, and with reports linking Granit Xhaka and other important players, they would like to keep the core of the squad together longer.

Victor Boniface was an integral piece in Leverkusen's invincible run, which earned them the domestic German double two years ago.

The Super Eagles attacker lost his starting place to Patrik Schick in the second half of last season, due to his injuries and the prolific form of the Czech forward.

In his 61 appearances so far for Die Werkself, his goal involvements are of note, with 32 goals and 12 assists so far.

Boniface, who has three years left on his Bayer Leverkusen contract, has been spotted training at the Marbella Football Center in Spain ahead of the start of pre-season.
