Update on Lookman's future: Negotiations between Inter Milan and Atalanta currently frozen

Sportmediaset transfer expert Orazio Accomando has provided a fresh update on Ademola Lookman’s transfer saga, revealing that negotiations between Inter Milan and Atalanta have reached a standstill.

“Negotiations are currently frozen between Inter and Atalanta for Ademola Lookman,” Accomando posted on X.

"At the moment, Inter's objective is to strengthen their midfield and defense."

Lookman, who has been one of Inter’s long-standing targets, is pushing for the move after reportedly skipping training sessions in an effort to force Atalanta’s hand.

The Nigerian forward, 27, has already agreed personal terms with the Nerazzurri but faces resistance from his current club.

Atalanta recently turned down Inter’s latest €45 million bid, maintaining their €50 million valuation of the winger.

The standoff has heightened tensions, with Lookman publicly expressing his frustration by removing all Atalanta references from his social media profiles.

He also submitted a formal transfer request, accusing the Bergamo side of breaking promises made to him.

Despite the player’s determination, Inter appear to have shifted focus for now, prioritizing reinforcements in midfield and defense while monitoring the situation.

The Serie A giants remain interested but are unwilling to exceed their current offer unless Atalanta lower their demands.

With the transfer window still open, Lookman’s future remains uncertain.

However, his actions suggest he has set his sights firmly on San Siro, leaving Atalanta with a difficult decision: cash in or risk keeping an unsettled star.
