Official: Lagos-born former Man Utd forward departs Ferencvaros after winning two league titles

Through the official website, Hungarian champions Ferencváros have confirmed the departure of Lagos-born winger Tosin Kehinde following a successful spell that yielded back-to-back Nemzeti Bajnokság I titles.

The former Nigeria U23 invitee joined the Green and Whites in 2023 from Danish outfit Randers FC and went on to register two goals and four assists in 30 appearances across all competitions.

He leaves the club with silverware and a place in supporters' memories, notably for his dramatic 92nd-minute winner in the derby against Újpest on August 17, 2024.

Kehinde arrived in Budapest with a solid pedigree, having progressed through Manchester United’s academy and later establishing himself in Denmark, where he was directly involved in 22 goals (10 goals, 12 assists) across 122 games for Randers.

The 27-year-old did not feature in the current campaign, with his exit anticipated after being omitted from Ferencváros' UEFA Champions League qualifying squad.

Eligible to represent both England and Nigeria, Kehinde has pledged his international allegiance to the Super Eagles.

In 2019, he trained with Nigeria's Olympic squad ahead of an Africa U23 Cup of Nations qualifier but was not included in the matchday squad against Libya.
