Super Eagles squad complete: Chelle welcomes Chukwueze, Uche, Arokodare, Osimhen, Onyedika
Published: September 03, 2025
The Super Eagles have now achieved a full house at their training camp in Uyo ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, with the arrival of several high-profile players adding significant firepower to the squad.
Samuel Chukwueze, Tolu Arokodare, Raphael Onyedika, Chrisantus Uche, and Victor Osimhen have all joined the team, boosting the squad’s strength and providing head coach Eric Chelle with a wealth of options in attack and midfield.
Their arrival follows the earlier inclusion of forwards Ademola Lookman and Cyriel Dessers, bringing the total number of players in camp to a complete roster ready for preparation.
The squad had their first training session on Tuesday evening, focusing on tactical drills, set-piece routines, and fitness conditioning.
Another session is scheduled for Wednesday evening as Chelle continues to build cohesion and ensure that all players are fully integrated ahead of the upcoming qualifiers.
Victor Osimhen’s presence adds an established goal threat, while Samuel Chukwueze’s pace and skill on the wing are expected to stretch opposition defenses.
Tolu Arokodare offers additional versatility upfront, and Raphael Onyedika’s dynamism in midfield gives Chelle more control in transitional play.
Chrisantus Uche’s inclusion further strengthens Nigeria’s options in central areas, making the squad more adaptable to different match scenarios.
The full squad is now preparing to host Rwanda in Uyo before traveling to Bloemfontein to face South Africa, with both fixtures critical for Nigeria’s qualification hopes.
With maximum points required to maintain momentum in Group C, the complete roster ensures the Super Eagles can field a balanced and competitive lineup.
