Fourth-fastest player in German top-flight Felix Agu named in Bundesliga TOTW
Published: September 15, 2025
Super Eagles defender Felix Agu has been named in Whoscored's Bundesliga Team of the Week after his outstanding performance in Werder Bremen's emphatic 4-0 victory over Borussia Mönchengladbach on Sunday at Borussia-Park.
The 25-year-old, who did not feature in Nigeria's recent World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and South Africa, played the full 90 minutes, excelling defensively.
Agu completed 26 accurate passes, created one key chance, and stood firm at the back with six tackles, six clearances, two interceptions, and a crucial block.
His display earned him a spot in the Bundesliga Team of the Week, lining up in defense alongside Bayern Munich's Konrad Laimer and RB Leipzig duo Castello Lukeba and Willi Orbán.
The midfield included Hoffenheim's Tim Lemperle, Leverkusen's Alejandro Grimaldo, Wolfsburg's Maximilian Arnold, and RB Leipzig's Nicolas Seiwald, while Hoffenheim's Fisnik Asllani joined Bayern star Harry Kane in attack.
After three rounds of the Bundesliga season, Agu has been ranked as the fourth-fastest player in the division, clocking a top speed of 35.51 km/h.
The pace charts are currently led by TSG Hoffenheim’s Bazoumana Toure, who has registered the quickest sprint so far at 35.97 km/h.
He is closely followed by Bayer Leverkusen winger Nathan Tella (35.76 km/h) and Mainz full-back Nikolas Veratschnig (35.67 km/h).
