OBAFEMI MARTINS Says He Wants To Outperform KONE

On his league debut on Sunday, Obafemi Martin proved he is a match-winner as his late strike with three minutes of normal time left handed Levante a 2 -1 victory over Real Sociedad.
Following the departure of Arouna Koné to Wigan in the summer transfer market, Levante went shopping for the replacement of the Ivorian forward.
After weeks of negotiations, the Valencia based outfit were able to lure Obafemi Martins away from Russian club Rubin Kazan.
Speaking in his post match comments to Spanish Media, the Nigeria international says he wants to outperform Koné.
"In the first practice I saw that the club Levante is not as small as some think and I'm very happy to be here,'' Martins was quoted as saying by superdeporte.es.
The former Inter Milan star also thanked his parents and brother, and said that he was very happy for his debut goal and the three points.
27 - year -old Martins is the 11th Levante player to score on his debut in the Spanish championship.
