KESHI To Recall ODEMWINGIE, ANICHEBE For Venezuela
Published: October 19, 2012
Nigeria gaffer Stephen Keshi will hand recalls to English Premiership forwards Peter Odemwingie and Victor Anichebe for the friendly date with Venezuela in November, writes supersport.com citing Brila FM.
Nigeria Federation Technical Committee member, Paul Bassey also revealed that some new faces will be tested against the South Americans.
''It is still unofficial though but Keshi has made a name of players available for the friendly match against Venezuela next month. Among the players named are Victor Anichebe and Osaze Odemwingie. Both of them were part of the team before now and that is understandable.
"There are also some new names in the list. The time between now and the Nations Cup is too short for trying out new players. But the NFF technical committee will meet on this,'' Bassey was quoted as saying by supersport.com.
West Brom's Odemwingie has not played for the Nigeria selection since February, an Afcon qualifier against Rwanda in Kigali.
