Exclusive: Agent Reveals No Contact Between Molde And Steaua Bucharest For DANIEL CHIMA
Published: December 14, 2012
Norwegian - Nigerian agent Atta Aneke has commented on media reports at home and abroad linking his client, Molde's Daniel Chima, with a move to Romania power-house Steaua Bucharest in the January transfer window.
It was previously reported that Steaua Bucharest were interested in Daniel Chima. The stumbling block - George Becali's team did not meet the 21 - year - old's two million euros valuation. Now, the player's agent has dismissed the reports.
''There has been no contact between Molde and Steaua Bucharest for Daniel Chima's signature. I have not been contacted as well. But I am aware that the coach and the president of the club have openly expressed their interest in the player. Because there has been no contact between both clubs, we have not discussed the player's transfer fee and his wages,'' Atta Aneke, who also manages Real Betis midfielder Nosa Igiebor, told allnigeriasoccer.com in a telephone conversation.
Meanwhile, the contracts of Nonso Lala and Kazeem Ahmed won't be renewed by Norwegian Cup winners Hodd when it expires at the end of this month, precisely December 31st. The pair won't be searching for clubs for so long, Atta Aneke has revealed.
''Nonso did well in the few games he played, but he did not get enough chances. I am working on taking him to Turkey or the MLS. He is a talented player, only needs to be playing regularly.
''There is a possibility that Kazeem could be returning to Norway. He had an operation two weeks before he left Norway for Nigeria on vacation. He is expected to be out of action for between three to four months. The transfer window in Norway closes before his return from injury. Definitely in the summer transfer market, he'll sign for a new team,'' says Aneke
