Kalmar's former striker Abiola Dauda netted 15 goals in 24 appearances last season to finish as the fourth highest goalscorer in the Allsvenskan. The free agent has admirers wishing to sign him in the January market.
Fotbolltransfers.com with reference to Barometern says the Nigerian striker is close to a move to Russian Premier League outfit FC Alania Vladikavkaz.
''Nothing is clear. There are still many options, '' says Abiola Dauda to the newspaper.
FC Alania Vladikavkaz are currently in 15th place in the Russian League. According to Patrick Mork, who is Abiola's agent, there are many teams jostling for his client's signature.
''There is and has been a huge interest around Abiola. He's a good forward at a good age, who is also a Bosman player. There have been many bids we have turned down, but now we hope for a solution as soon as possible,'' Mork told Barometern.
Patrick Mork admitted that there is a possibility that Abiola Dauda will end up in Russia.
