Michael Odibe Confirms Interest From Italy
Published: January 16, 2013
One-cap Nigeria international Michael Odibe has returned toArsenal Kiev after a brief spell on loan at Ukrainian millionaire club Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk.
''I am one of the six main players of Arsenal Kiev, I am still at the club. It is still unknown whether I will stay at Arsenal or move somewhere else,'' says Michael Odibe to Football.ua.
Credible reports have surfaced in Italy linking Odibe with a return to the Serie A. Odibe has heard about the interest from Cagliari.
He told the Ukrainian website: ''My agent told me the news. This is not surprising because I have played in Italy. However, representatives of the club have not made a concrete proposal, therefore it is early to say I would move to the Apennines.''
Just before the start of the current season, Dnipro loaned the goalscoring defender from Arsenal Kiev. The agreement between the parties lasted for only six months.
''I was playing on loan at Dnipro. Upon expiration of the contract, Dnipro did not renew the agreement. I can not impose my services,'' Odibe concluded.
