Officials of Adana Demirspor have threatened to take disciplinary action against the former Atlético Baleares ace, who is desperate to force a move to Super League side İstanbul BüyükÅehir Belediyespor.
According to a report by haberads.com, Adana Demirspor will 'freeze' Lawal's contract if he does not return to the club in the coming days. Despite contracted to Adana Demirspor for the next two seasons, Lawal says he does not want to play for the team again.
This is not the first time Lawal is having disciplinary problems with a club. While playing for Spanish basement side Atlético Baleares, several times, he broke the internal regulations of the club. Before important matches, he frolicked with women of easy virtue at nightclubs.Angered by Lawal's behavior, the club said they won't sign any Nigerian player in future.
Meanwhile, Cameroon midfielder Thierry Makon Nloga is being touted as Lawal's replacement. The 19-year-old currently plays for FC Douala.
