Exclusive: Fanendo Adi To Leave AS Trencin
Published: March 24, 2013
Fanendo Adi is enjoying football again in Slovakia. Following his lack of first team opportunities at Tavriya, the 22 - year - old striker was shipped out on a season - long loan to AS Trencin.
Since Adi made his debut for AS Trencin in November 2012, he has featured in every game played by the club in the Super League. This statistic backs up the player's statement that he is getting a run of games.
Despite Trencin giving Fanendo Adi first team opportunity, the former Ajax Amsterdam trialist is likely to leave the club when his current deal expires at the end of the season.
''I am playing well at Trencin and enjoying it. I can't say my next destination. Clubs will always show interest in you. Right now, I am playing football which I love. It is my agent handling my transfer. We just need to wait until the end of the season, then a decision will be taken,'' Adi told allnigeriasoccer.com.
Fanendo Adi, touted as the New Nwankwo Kanu, is under contract with Tavriya until June 2015. A return to Ukraine is unlikely to be on the agenda.
