The derby between Red Star Belgrade and Partizan Belgrade is not one to be witnessed by the faint-hearted.
It is ranked one of the most fiercely contested sporting events in the world.
This past weekend, Serbian champions - elect Partizan beat Red Star 1 - 0 and are now on the brink of winning their sixth title on the bounce.
Nigerian striker Abiola Dauda, who played for about 80 minutes against Partizan, has diplomatically stated that the atmosphere at the Stadion Partizana was great, not intimidating.
''It was a great atmosphere and the fans were great. Definitely the biggest game of my career because of the importance of the game as well as being a derby.
''It was an important game for us to win but we lost. So we are now 5 points behind Partizan with only 2 games left.
''This derby is ranked among the top five in Europe and it was a title decider too,'' Dauda said to allnigeriasoccer.com.
