In transfer market parlance, the deal has not been completed, contrary to reports, considering the fact that an approval from football's governing body, Fifa is still pending as of 1300 hours on Monday, July 10.
Allnigeriasoccer.com can confirm that Liverpool will receive a transfer fee of one million euros for a player who was in the first year of his scholarship in 2022-2023.
In his parting words to the Liverpool faithful, Gift admitted that he was disappointed to be bidding farewell to an amazing and special club.
"Sadly, after 6 years at this amazing club, today marks the end of my Journey with Liverpool FC. I am truly grateful for every second I have spent at this special club," Gift posted on Instagram.
"At this point, I would like to express my appreciation for my team mates, the coaches, staff & everyone for believing in me from day 1 and pushing me to the best of my ability.
"I am forever grateful."
