Tolu Arokodare has named Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen as the best player he has played with and Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes as the best player he has faced.
The Ajax Amsterdam striker made the revelations during a question and answer session with ESPN Netherlands, where he was asked about some of the best players and performances he has experienced during his career.
While Arokodare and Osimhen have shared the pitch twice for Nigeria, in World Cup qualifying matches against Zimbabwe and Lesotho, the Wolverhampton Wanderers loanee faced Fernandes in a Premier League match in December 2025.
When asked to name the best player he has ever played alongside, Arokodare had no hesitation in choosing his international teammate Osimhen.
"Victor Osimhen," the 25-year-old replied.
Arokodare was then asked to identify the best player he has played against, and he selected Fernandes.
Explaining his choice, Arokodare was full of praise for Fernandes, highlighting his mentality, leadership and technical ability.
"I'll probably say Bruno Fernandes. He is exceptional: his mentality, his leadership, his technique, his quality and his personality off the pitch. He's an amazing person."
Arokodare was also asked about the best match he has watched live but opted to highlight an individual performance rather than an entire game.
"I wouldn't say the best match, but I would say the best performance. Victor Osimhen scoring a hat-trick against Benin in the World Cup qualifiers when Nigeria needed to qualify for the World Cup."
Arokodare was the Belgian Pro League's top scorer in the 2024-2025 season with 21 goals for Racing Genk, and has registered three goal involvements in four appearances as an Ajax player.
