Flamingos captain Harmony Chidi has expressed her delight after leading Nigeria to glory at the WAFU B U17 Girls' Cup.
Nigeria enjoyed a remarkable 100 percent record throughout the tournament, securing victories over Niger, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast and Togo.
The Flamingos impressed at both ends of the pitch, keeping four clean sheets in their five matches while scoring an impressive 17 goals.
Chidi led by example, finishing as Nigeria's joint-top scorer with four goals.
She found the net against Ghana and Burkina Faso before stealing the headlines with a brace in a comfortable victory over Togo on Sunday.
The Flamingos captain highlighted Nigeria's victories over fierce rivals Ghana and Ivory Coast as her biggest achievements of the tournament.
Speaking after the win over Togo, Chidi said: "I thank God for everything. I feel so happy; I am the happiest person on earth right now. It's not easy beating so many teams in this tournament.
"When I talk about beating teams, coming out of the five teams that we played, we had to conquer all of them. Not only that, my number one achievement is beating Ghana, and not only beating Ghana, but beating Ivory Coast too, these two teams.
"I am happy, and I pray we take this spirit from the WAFU B to the World Cup, and let Nigerians support us more so that we can do better at the World Cup.
Nigeria will face North Korea, Puerto Rico and Poland in Group B of the 2026 Fifa U17 Women's World Cup.
