Barcelona youngster Destiny Kosiso Ejiofor was in impressive form, scoring three times against Villarreal in the LaLiga FC Futures tournament in Orlando.
Destiny endured a difficult start to the tournament, struggling to produce his usual level of performance during the early stages of the competition in the United States.
However, the Spanish-Nigerian forward rediscovered his best form against the Yellow Submarines when Barcelona needed at least two goals to avoid elimination.
Destiny proved a constant threat to the Villarreal defence, rising to the occasion with a brilliant hat-trick to help the Blaugrana secure qualification for the quarter-finals.
His outstanding display helped Barcelona secure their place in the quarter-finals while ending Villarreal and Sevilla’s hopes of progressing in the tournament.
Atletico Madrid, meanwhile, booked their place in the quarter-finals after defeating rivals Real Madrid in the derby to finish top of the group.
Destiny, who has continued to showcase his impressive skills and talent within the La Masia academy, will be hoping to maintain his fine form at the club.
The young forward will also be keen to rise through the academy ranks as he targets an opportunity to feature for Barcelona’s senior team in the future.
