Through official channels, United Arab Emirates Pro League club Al-Jazira have confirmed the signing of Nigerian midfielder Anthony Dennis from Goztepe.
Although the length and financial details of the deal were not disclosed, it is believed that the Super Eagles hopeful ended his association with the Turkish club in exchange for €5 million plus performance-related add-ons.
Dennis has been registered as a resident player and will wear the number 30 jersey in the 2026-2027 season.
The Super Eagles hopeful has been brought in as a replacement for Egypt legend and former Arsenal defensive midfielder Mohamed Elneny, whose contract at Al-Jazira expired in June.
Dennis started his Goztepe career with the youth team and rose through the ranks to make his first team debut in a First League match against Corum in January 2024.
Overall, the 22-year-old appeared in 83 official matches for the İzmir Province club, contributing four goals and five assists.
Dennis was linked with moves to Premier League and Bundesliga clubs before he agreed terms with Al-Jazira.
He was included in the Super Eagles' provisional squad for the Fifa World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe in March 2025, but did not make the final selection.
