EXCLUSIVE : Oke Akpoveta To Leave Brondby This Summer
Published: July 30, 2013
Oke Akpoveta's two - year collaboration with Danish Super Liga club Brondby will come to an end in the coming weeks, before the close of the summer transfer window, allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report.
Just as we saw in the last two matches in the championship, the 21 - year - old was missing from Brondby's line - up, suggesting that he is not in the plans of manager Thomas Frank this season.
'' It is certain that Akpoveta will leave Brondby before the end of the transfer market.
'' He is seeking regular game time and wants to play for a club where he's guaranteed that.
'' He is a young player and it is best he remains in Scandinavia where he'll develop more and get his confidence back.
'' I am in contact with clubs in Norway and there's also a proposal from a Greek team, '' says a source close to the player.
Apart from the interest from Norway and Greece, there's also talk of a club in the 2 Bundesliga interested in the signature of the former Warri Wolves striker.
Notwithstanding, an unnamed club in Norway is understood to be favorite for his signature.
Oke Akpoveta's contract with Brondby expires in the summer of 2015.
