Roda JC In Pole Position To Sign Uche Nwofor

Super Eagles invitee Uche Nwofor was reportedly on the radar of English Premier clubs Tottenham Hotspur, Stoke City and Arsenal in the summer transfer market.
But the 21 - year - old VVV Venlo hitman does not have enough caps to qualify for a UK work permit. Thus, a transfer to an English club might be difficult to process.
Despite the relegation of VVV Venlo from the topflight at the end of last season, Nwofor still has a good reputation in Holland.
According to Algemeen Dagblad, Roda JC have openly courted the former Enugu Rangers striker in recent days.
'' We are certainly interested (in Nwofor, ed),'' sport director Marcel van den Bunder told the newspaper.
Uche Nwofor has notched up 13 goals in 58 matches for VVV Venlo.
