Galatasaray Launch 12 Million Euros Bid For Obi Mikel
Published: August 22, 2013
According to reporting by Transfer Market portal Tuttomercatoweb.com, Galatasaray launched an official bid of 12 million euros for the signature of Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel on Wednesday.
The Istanbul side hope this will put them ahead of Italians Napoli in the pursuit of the Nigeria international.
Rafa Benitez has not hidden his admiration for his former pupil and is keen to bring him to The Blues.
It is now left to see how the Naples side will respond to that bid from Galatasaray
Obi Mikel, 26, is not guaranteed a first team shirt at Chelsea this season, and was not suited up for the Londoners in their first two Premier League fixtures.
He is under contract with Chelsea until the summer of 2017.
