2025 Fifa U17 WWC: Four Italy players Flamingos must keep a close eye on to avoid trouble tonight

The Flamingos of Nigeria will be seeking to contain four key Italian players as they aim to progress to the quarterfinals of the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup.

The Round of 16 clash against Italy is scheduled for today at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Olympic Annex Stadium in Rabat, Morocco on Tuesday night.

To advance, Nigeria must focus on neutralizing four standout Italian players whose performances have been central to Italy's success in the group stage.

Giulia Galli – The 17-year-old Roma forward has been Italy's most potent attacking threat, scoring five goals in the tournament so far.

Her clinical finishing and intelligent movement off the ball make her a constant danger to opposing defenses and a primary concern for Nigeria's defense.

Viola Volpini – Juventus winger Volpini has provided three assists in the group stage, showcasing her pace, creativity, and ability to stretch defenses.

Her overlapping runs and precise crosses could expose gaps in the Flamingos' full-back positions if not carefully monitored.

Rachele Giudici – The 16-year-old Inter Milan midfielder orchestrates Italy's play with exceptional vision and dribbling ability.

Her capacity to dictate tempo and create chances means Nigeria's midfield must maintain compactness and vigilance to limit her influence.

Francesca Randazzo – Sassuolo's commanding center-back is pivotal to Italy's defensive solidity.

Known for her aerial dominance and interception skills, Randazzo not only thwarts attacks but also initiates counters, requiring vigilance from Nigeria's forwards throughout the match.
