First Panathinaikos Goal Delights Abdul AjagunNigeria Under 20 National Team skipper Abdul Ajagun sparkled on his official debut for Panathinaikos, netting the equalizer in the 1 - 1 draw with Platanias on Sunday evening.

The 20 - year - old attacking midfielder was thrown into the fray in the 71st minute by manager Anastasiou, and it took the former Dolphins ace less than 11 minutes to register his first goal in the Greece championship.

“  I am happy that I scored the equalizer. We played very well, after we raised our game.

“ I like to score, what I did today is within ... work I need to do on the field and hope to do often,” Abdul Ajagun was quoted as saying by gazzetta.gr.

Abdul Ajagun, who can cover several roles in midfield, spoke on his preferred position for The Greens.

“I prefer to play attacking midfielder, but that is determined by the coach. Where I am asked, I will give everything and play for the good of the team.”

Panathinaikos currently occupy the 6th position after four rounds of matches in the Super League.
