EXCLUSIVE: Rolo Zapata Hints At Return To Sunshine Stars
Published: September 15, 2013
Former Sunshine Stars coach Rodolfo Zapata says he is in contact with Chairman Mike Idoko over handling the Akure based side.
Rolo Zapata, 47, had a highly successful spell at Sunshine Stars back in the 2010 - 2011 season.
But the American, who has Argentina blood flowing in his veins, later parted company with the club to take over managerial reins at MP Black Aces FC.
“ It is correct I may be coming back to Sunshine Stars.
“ Mike Idoko has shown a lot of interest that I become their coach and I have had conversations with them.
“ It’s very hard to do a long term program in Nigeria, so we spoke for one year contract to be renewed later,” Rolo Zapata said to allnigeriasoccer.com.
It is expected that Rolo Zapata will handle Sunshine Stars next season if he agrees terms with the club's hierarchy.
