Published: October 08, 2013
Nigeria international Victor Moses was not part of the training session held in Abuja on Tuesday afternoon because he had approval from the technical bench to skip the exercise.
The Liverpool winger was 700 kilometers away in Lagos, where he was unveiled as brand ambassador of Telecom giants Globacom.
Mohamed Jameel, the COO of Globacom, announced during the ceremony that Moses was a role model to several aspiring footballers.
“This is not only meant to promote the growth of the various industries but also to encourage our teeming youth population to aspire to realise their dreams by looking up to these crops of ambassadors as mentors.
“It is in line with our commitment to delivering value and rewarding excellence that we have signed up one of our own, a Nigerian International, a dynamic winger and outstanding member of our victorious National Team, the Super Eagles, Mr. Victor Moses to project the Globacom brand across the world,” Jameel stated.
Victor Moses is expected to resume training with the Nigeria selection on Wednesday.
