Published: October 09, 2013
Former Nigeria international Taribo West has advised Lazio midfielder Eddy Onazi to continue his development in Italy at least for another year.
20 - year - old Onazi has been the subject of interest from some teams in the English Premier League, with Tottenham Hotspur and Everton said to be among his admirers.
West who played for AC Milan and Inter during his career told Lalaziosiamonoi.it: “I think he’s grown a lot as a player in these two seasons, has shown significant progress.
“In my opinion, he must remain at Lazio another year, in order to have the opportunity to play with continuity and demonstrate a higher value.
“Only then can he think about his future, but at this moment he should think about Lazio and try to win something here.”
Taribo West spends time in Nigeria and Italy, where he founded his own church. He also scouts for some European teams.
