Houston Dash's Wafcon-winning fullback Alozie shortlisted for FIFPRO Women's World 11
Published: October 27, 2025
Houston Dash's Nigeria international Michelle Alozie has been shortlisted for the 2025 FIFPRO Women's World 11, recognising her outstanding performances over the past year.
The Super Falcons fullback is one of three African players nominated, joining Morocco captain Ghizlane Chebbak and Zambia striker Barbra Banda on the prestigious list.
Alozie's inclusion follows a stellar 2024-2025 season, during which she enjoyed a breakout campaign that earned the admiration of her peers.
More than 26,000 professional footballers from 68 countries voted for the players they believe deserve a place in the Team of the Year.
The FIFPRO Women’s World 11 finalists represent the 26 footballers who received the highest number of votes for their performances between 11 August 2024 and 3 August 2025.
To qualify, players must have featured in at least 20 official matches during that period.
Alozie played a key role in Nigeria's triumph at the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations, where she memorably scored a stoppage-time winner against South Africa in the semifinals.
Her exceptional performance saw her named among the four Super Falcons players included in the official Team of the Tournament.
The final World 11 will comprise one goalkeeper, three defenders, three midfielders and three forwards, with the remaining outfield player slot going to the individual with the next highest number of votes.
FIFPRO will unveil the Women's World 11 on Monday, 3 November 2025 across its official digital platforms.
