Published: November 14, 2013
According to the online edition of German newspaper, Bild, Schalke 04 may not exercise their option of acquiring Dennis Aogo outright from Hamburg.
The 26 - year - old defender is on a season - long loan at the Gelsenkirchen based outfit and he is available at a modest fee of three million euros at the end of the 2013 - 2014 season.
Bayer Leverkusen, Liverpool FC and AS Roma are keen on the defender who can also be handy in midfield.
But the German, English and Italian clubs will have to pay more than the three million euros transfer fee Hamburg negotiated with Schalke for Dennis Aogo.
His contract with Hamburg will run out in the summer of 2015.
