Fiorentina have joined the race for highly sought - after Nigeria international Eddy Onazi.
Lalaziosiamonoi.it says Viola manager Vincenzo Montella is in the market for a midfielder and his number one priority is the Super Eagle.
There has been contact between Fiorentina, Lazio and representatives of Eddy Onazi but the leadership of the Rome based outfit is not keen on selling one of the most popular players, especially to a rival team in Italy.
Clubs in England including Everton had explored the possibility of the 20 - year - old in the summer transfer window but bids of around eight million euros were rejected.
It would take at least 15 million euros to convince the Biancocelesti to part with their prized jewel.
Eddy Onazi has a contract with Lazio until the summer of 2016.
