Dele Olorundare, Akeem Agbetu Shred Agreement With Tavsanli Linyitspor
Published: January 12, 2014
Dele Olorundare, Akeem Agbetu and Nduka Usim have followed Sani Gideon out of the TKİ Tavşanlı Linyitspor exit door after the three players terminated their contracts over unpaid wages and bonuses.
Sani Gideon, whose stay at Tavşanlı Linyitspor was due to expire this June, cancelled his loan contract with the club due to their financial status and has gone back to his principal Akhisar Belediyespor.
Tavşanlı Linyitspor owe their players backlog of five months wages plus they can not meet the obligations to the expatriate footballers on their payroll.
Speaking with allnigeriasoccer.com, Sani Gideon shed more light on the situation of things TKİ Tavşanlı and why he decided to go back to Akhisar.
“It is not my personal decision to terminate my contract, both teams agreed on that because they were unable to handle the team financially.
“We kept the secret to ourselves. Yes of course because they keep telling lies that there’s money coming from somewhere in January and around December they said something else’’
Akhisar Belediyespor occupy the 9th position with 25 points after 17 round of matches in the Turkish Super League.
In the next round of fixtures, on January 26, they face Elazigspor.
