Shola Ameobi Could Leave Newcastle United
Published: February 19, 2014
The Newcastle hierarchy has not yet opened talks with the Nigeria international regarding a new deal and the Nigerian is very concerned.
Speaking to the electronic edition of Shields Gazette, Ameobi said : “After the summer, my future is unclear.
“Basically, I’ll do what I’ve always done. Like I’ve always said, I’ve never taken it for granted. Every time I step on that pitch, I relish it.
“When it does finally end, it’ll be a sad moment, but at the moment my focus is trying to help this club.”
In recent days, Shola Ameobi has been linked with a transfer to Chinese club Guangzhou R & F.
He has been on the payroll of Newcastle United for close to two decades.
