Hibernians Obinna Obiefule Delighted To Qualify For Europe
Published: April 13, 2014
Obinna Obiefule was over the moon after Hibernians secured qualification to the next edition of the Europa League in the wake of their entertaining 4 - 4 draw with Balzan in the latest round of games.
Not taking into account his record breaking season where he netted 34 goals in the Malta Premier League, Obiefule has had his most successful campaign in the Island Nation, netting 15 goals in 23 games including the 51st minute strike against Balzan.
“It was a tough game but we managed to get a draw today. Two matches to go and we have qualified for the Europa League, we have every reason to be happy,” Obiefule said to allnigeriasoccer.com.
It is confirmed that Birkirkara, Valletta and Hibernians will be Malta’s representatives in Europe in the 2013 - 2014 season.
And three of them would be joined by Stanley Ohawuchi’s Sliema Wanderers if the club wins the FA Trophy in the first Saturday in May.
