Turkish Super Lig defending champions Fenerbahce have resumed pre - season training without their Nigerian striker, Emmanuel Emenike.
The African Cup of Nations top goalscorer has been given an extended vacation by the management of the Yellow Canaries, after World Cup duty with the Super Eagles.
The 27 - year - old is due to return to his club on Wednesday, July 30, a day before the meeting with Sheffield United, England in a friendly, which will hold at Bramall Lane Stadium in the United Kingdom.
Emmanuel Emenike started every single game contested by Nigeria at the just concluded World Cup, but did not score a single goal, though he contributed two assists.
He joined Fenerbahce for a second spell last summer, signing a four - year deal that will run out in 2017.
