Stefano Okaka Confirms He Was Courted By Torino

Speaking to television station Telenord,  Stefano Okaka has confirmed that he was courted by Torino over the summer, but opted to remain at Sampdoria.

Acquired by the Genoa based side in the winter transfer market, the Italian - Nigerian attacker caught the eye in the second half of the 2013 - 2014 campaign, with 5 goals in 13 Serie A matches.

“Sampdoria is not all about Okaka, we will try to do well together. Torino, they, sought me out in the summer? I have to play well for my team, the coach and my people.I am happy if I am wooed, but I only want to do well with my team.

“Competition from Bergessio is a stimulus for me. I am very happy if an attack is equally strong,” Okaka wa quoted as saying by Tuttomercatoweb.com.

In the opening round of the Italian championship, Stefano Okaka tasted 90 minutes of action in the 1 - 1 draw with Palermo.
