Stefano Okaka Ready For National Team
Published: September 14, 2014
Speaking after netting his first goal of the season in the Italian championship, Sampdoria striker Stefano Okaka has issued a come - and - get-me plea to the national team coaches.
The 25 - year - old previously turned out for the Italy Under 21s, yet he has not been capped at full international level for either Italy or Nigeria.
“For the National Team, I am ready. I am ready for everything. We played a great game, we are very happy. Torino have played a good game, but today we were really good,” Stefano Okaka said to Mediaset Premium.
It had earlier been claimed that he was courted by the Nigeria Federation to represent the Super Eagles at this summer’s World Cup but this was denied by manager Stephen Keshi.
Born in the province of Perugia, Stefano Okaka has been in the possession of an Italian passport since 2007.
