Femi Ajilore Yet To Return To Full Fitness
Published: September 19, 2014
FC Midtjylland coach Glen Riddersholm has provided an update on the physical condition of Beijing Olympics silver medalist Femi Ajilore, 29.
The Super Eagles midfielder has been struggling with an undisclosed ailment since the start of the Danish Superliga season, and has not taken to the pitch after seven rounds.
He was named in the FCM Reserve squad that tackled Esbjerg on September 8, raising hopes that he might be returning to the main team after the international break, but he has experienced a setback.
“The body reacts negatively when we try to stress him hard, so we’re looking for a good balance for him.
“It takes longer than hoped, but we still believe in him. For we can see he still has the qualities we know of him.
“But in the short term it looks as if it is not very positive for him,” Glen Riddersholm told bold.dk.
