Oyo NURTW Boss Bags Sports Fans Award

The Chairman of Oyo State Chapter of National Union of Roads Transport Workers, Alhaji Taofeek Oyerinde popularly known as Fele on Friday in Ibadan decorated with a distinguish Sports Fans Award as ‘A Man of Peace’.
The Oyo NURTW boss who has just bankrolled a football competition in honour of the executive Governor of the State Senator Abiola Ajimobi tagged ‘Ajumose Cup’ was voted as ‘A man of Peace’ by fans that listens to Yoruba Sports on Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS).
The award which was organized by a popular Yoruba sports presenter Babatunde Saheed of BCOS was presented to Fele at Sports gathering held in Ibadan where thousands of sports fans converged to celebrate one-another.
Another recipient of Sport’s Fans Award was a grassroots football promoter on note, Alhaji Muritala Odesola who owns Allah’s Will Football Academy and have been sponsoring a grassroots football competition in Ibadan for the past two decades which had produced the likes of Ganiyu Oseni of 2007 Under-17 FIFA World Cup winner and Kayode Olanrewaju who was also a member of 2009 U-17 and U-21 World Cup.
The Awardees however, pledged not to relent in their efforts to help the grassroots football grow in Nigeria.
