Emmanuel Sarki Not Called Up By Haiti For Caribbean Cup
Published: September 23, 2014
Wisla Krakow midfielder Emmanuel Sarki has not been summoned by Haiti National Team Coach, Marc Collat, for the upcoming Caribbean Cup qualifying fixtures.
And this put to bed arguments by the local and foreign media suggesting that he was eligible to represent the Haiti selection, with earlier reports even claiming that he had been cleared by Fifa to turn out for the country.
Having missed the friendly with Chile earlier this month due to missing paperwork, Emmanuel Sarki’s name was conspicuously missing from the provisional squad list that has been announced.
Emmanuel Sarki had bizarrely claimed, without proof, that he has an ancestral link to Haiti through his grandparents.
Haita will square off against French Guyana, Barbados and Saint Kitts and Nevis in the qualifying matches of Group 8 of Caribbean Cup from 8 to 12 October 2014.
