Published: October 12, 2014
With the Indian Super League set to begin on Sunday, October 12, celebrated website scoopwhoop.com has published the top15 players to watch out for.
Joining the likes of Alessandro Del Piero, Nicolas Anelka, Robert Pires and David James on the prestigious list is Nigerian forward Ranti Martins, who penned a three - month deal with Goa Franchise this month.
“Unlike the others on this list, the Nigerian striker has already played in India having spent the last 10 seasons in the I-League playing for the likes of Dempo and East Bengal.
“He has won the national league title in India 5 times and has been a consistent goalscorer for every club that he has played for.
“Familiarity with Indian grounds and weather conditions will hold the Goa FC striker in good stead,” the editors said about Ranti Martins.
A product of King Faisal Babes, Ranti Martins has netted more than 200 goals in the Indian championship.
