Angelo Ogbonna Battling To Be Fit For Croatia Tie
Published: November 14, 2014
Italy manager Antonio Conte is sweating on the fitness of Angelo Ogbonna ahead of the Euro qualifiers with Croatia on Sunday.
The Juventus defender missed Thursday afternoon’s training session as he was feeling pain in his biceps.
The Italian - Nigerian stopper later underwent magnetic resonance imaging tests to ascertain the extent of the damage, and it it thought he has injured his left hamstring.
While additional tests will be conducted on Friday, it is unlikely that Conte will hand Ogbonna a starting berth for the game against Croatia based on his last training session.
Angelo Ogbonna has recorded ten international appearances for the Blues.
