Nosa Igiebor Let Off The Hook By Israeli Federation

Nosa Igiebor , 24, will not be sanctioned by the Israeli Federation for the obscene gesture he directed at Maccabi Tel Aviv fans on Monday evening after he was racially abused.
An official of the Israeli FA, Nir Reshef, sent a letter to Maccabi Tel Aviv on Wednesday informing them that the attacking midfielder has been left off the hook, but he warned the club that a repeat of the incident should not occur.
“You are required to take all measures to prevent this behavior which is a bad example and may instigate and lead to rioting and / or misconduct of the supporters.
“Leniently because, according to the player, he was feeling irritated and provoked by the fans, I decided not to run the disciplinary aspect of this case.
“It should be emphasized that the undersigned, strongly condemn this behavior of your fans and you are required to operate on this level,” the letter from the Israeli FA said.
The Nigeria international penned a three - year deal with the Israeli champions in July following the demotion of Real Betis to the second - tier.
