Exclusive : Enyimba Midfielder Kinglsey Sokari In Talks With Swedish Second - Tier Side After Rejecting Esperance
Published: December 11, 2014
According to leaks gathered by allnigeriasoccer.com’s editorial staff, Super Eagles invitee Kinglsey Sokari has rejected a move to Esperance, Tunisia, and could he heading to Sweden to join a second - tier club in the winter transfer market.
Having put himself in the shop window this past season, which earned him an invitation to all the national teams minus the Under 17 team, the Enyimba midfielder has received offers from clubs in Sweden, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
The unnamed Swedish Superettan team are in pole position for his signature, and they have offered Sokari a two - year deal without him attending trials.
What may stop the deal from materializing is the fact that the 19 - year - old still has a valid contract with Enyimba until the end of next season.
And that means the Scandinavian side will have to pay a transfer fee before the Federation Cup winners agree to do business.
Kingsley Sokari previously had spells with grassroots clubs Port Harcourt City FC and Hollando FC.
