Shakhtar Donetsk Dismiss Reports Of Move For Emmanuel Emenike
Published: January 17, 2015
Ukrainian champions Shakhtar Donetsk have denied reports linking the club with Nigeria international Emmanuel Emenike.
Based on earlier information that emanated from the Turkish press, it was suggested that the Fenerbahce forward would be used as makeweight in the deal to bring Luiz Adriano to the Yellow Canaries.
But Director General of Shakhtar Donetsk, Sergei Palkin, has reiterated that the news should be taken with a pinch of salt.
“At the moment,no such a request is addressed to Shakhtar Donetsk . I think that we should not treat this kind of news seriously.
“In any case, Shakhtar Donetsk is not ready to exchange Luiz Adriano for someone else,” Sergei Palkin told TASS, according to championat.com.
Emmanuel Emenike has scored 2 goals in 13 league matches so far this season.
